The institution started in July 1993 with the reverence of Shri Yati Ji Maharaj and his dream to provide education to children of rural areas who are devoid of education due to non-availability of educational institutions in rural areas. According to YatiJi the school should be well balanced with the Indian culture and modern scientific ideas so that student can develop knowledge, humbleness, discipline and patriotism in his personality which could make him/her an ideal citizen of India.
Since then the school is not only fulfilling this basic aim but providing high class education in rural area to both rural as well as urban students. The school was set up as fully residential school for boys only but it is now co-ed and residential as well as non-residential school. The girls are admitted as non-residential students. The boys have choice of either residential or day boarder students. At the time of its establishment it was having classes from 6th to 12th but now a student can enter at nursery and study up to 12th class. A boy can enter in the boarding house in class 2. It provides lunch facility to day boarders also. Since the time of its establishment it is providing consistently good academic results and also producing good sports men.
SBSSS utilizes a curriculum which is designed by CBSE Board, Delhi. It is also accredited by the National council of education research and training (NCERT). The national curriculum framework (NCF) 2005, which recommends that children’s life at school must be linked to their life outside the school. The school is also focusing on (CCE) continuous and comprehensive evaluation which is implemented from 2009.
The school also offers After School Activities (ASA) program and athletics program to develop mental, physical, emotional, intellectual level and to improve their versatile personality. The athletics programs include track and field, kabaddi, handball, soccer, volley ball etc. In addition, the School actively participates in the Sahodaya group, music festivals and cultural festivals.
Tradition plays vital part of the school. Special events that deserve mention here are Diwali celebrations, Mahashivratri ,Holi, Krishna Janmashtmi, Rangpanchmi, Ramnavmi, Gopashtami etc.
Motto represents the school’s principles on which the school is working and following the rules and regulations.
The motto of our school is “सा विद्या या विमुक्तये" means that knowledge which liberates us. Liberation means spiritual liberation. It suggests freedom of all manner servitude even in the present life. i.e. Moksha. It is written under the Swastik .
In our schools there is a sign of Swastik, lotus, Om and book. Swastik is being said that the sign of good omen. It stands for peace auspiciousness, brotherhood, prosperity and wellbeing. Above the swastika there is a flower of lotus which is well flourished. It symbolizes the purity of heart and mind. It also represents long life, health, honor and good luck.
Then, there is rising sign of Om from the lotus flower. It represents purity, holiness, Gods creations and education to all.
In the yellow color there is a name of the school that is BhartiyaSanskritiShikshaSansthan. It is en circled by the red color which suggests sacrifice of the people for the school progress. Behind all these, there is a book which stand for the knowledge that school is providing now a days.
